Hello, my name is Ronnita, and welcome to my little corner of the blogging universe. I am a wife, mother, and poet. I’m here to share my life, poetry, and experiences, particularly the ones related to my Christian walk. My goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone who will lend me an ear. I also want to give you a little window into my world to see how God has moved in my life and how He can also be present in yours in a mighty way. I will share my triumphs as well as my failures because, hey the life of a Christian is far from sunshine and rainbows. Fall.
Cascading against
my window pain
I welcome this noise.
Drowning out the sound
of loneliness
Breathe in
Breathe out
Thunder claps
startling me back to my
reality.
I embrace this
emptiness.
Breathe in

Change the dial
on my retro
t.v. set,
in hopes that
it will alter my mood.
Wrap me in these
satin sheets
to mimic
your embrace
The resonance
of the storm
echoing in the backdrop
my only company.
Breathe in
Breathe out
Moisture
builds
staining,
the windows
of my soul.
I hadn’t anticipated
this much precipitation,
this forecast was
erroneous at best
Breathe in

Just breathe
a blessing.
Take those fears
that bind you
and dare the storm
to alter
your path.
Take hold
of these clouds
and ride them
to your destiny.
